For highlighting:

Use a fan brush or a highlighting tapered brush to illuminate the highest points of the face;
Use this radiance-enhancing highlighter as a finishing makeup touch for a sophisticated, youthful glow.

For contouring:

Use the deepest shades to sculpt features;
Apply the mid-tone shades to the upper cheek planes to accentuate features;
Use the lightest shades on the apples of cheeks to brighten features;
Apply with fingertips or a synthetic brush;
Blend with a damp blending sponge or synthetic hair brush in a circular motion.
